The Bourbon Bus Tour

The bus trip took us through some pretty country, thru a few towns with history - approx. 100 miles
   
       
Maker's Mark - the first stop
  As we arrived on location, the building to the driver's side of the bus housed an old fire truck  
       
The grounds were very pretty.  The shutters on the building even had cutouts to match the bottle shape
       
  Upon arrival, we were asked to followed the path down to where our tour guide was waiting for us
   
       
  we entered the distillery thru the main entrance  
     
upon entering, the first set of copper tanks were being infused with the raw whisky
       
the fermenting rooms were next, at different stages; you were invited to taste each
       
They had cut-away barrels of to show the difference used for their different products
       
as we existed those buildings, our guide discussed more around the processing and answered questions
       
We now entered the bottling and packaging area
   
       
Last but not least was the Tasting Room
       
we all had the opportunity to purchase a bottle (or two) so we can dip it ourselves
