Monday 8/12

after enjoying the dragon, we headed on over to the Cherohala Senic Byway
   
       
       
       
  some of the "pit stops" became a site for fun   
  ...pushing onward

Bald River Falls
  a few miles before coming to the end of the Cherohala, we took a "shortcut" down to check out the Bald River Falls  
       
Reported to be from 80-100 feet tall; on the scenic Tellico River Road (FS210).  The falls are considered to be the most impressive and scenic waterfall in East Tennessee    
       
Everyone had a chance for a photo along with the group show   
       
  We loaded back up, headed back across the Cherohala back to Fontana   
       
  Tonight, we had booked the "Bears Den" at the Fontana Resort for a group dinner   
       
       
  we had a surprise Birthday Cake for Ted Molenda who was actually celebrating his birthday today   
       
  Most retired after dinner to rest from the ~160 miles of fun today - others of us visited out by our rooms and the pool
