Day Three Cruising
Heading out this morning it was a little foggy
Our first stop today was
Monument Hill; on the outskirts of La Grange,
TX
check out there website for the history of this
historic stop
Lunch was at
Gordo's Burgers in San Marcos - great meal but the
road construction was a mess
After checking into the hotel, and picking up 4 more
Vettes, we headed towards
Gruene, TX
...we came in from around Canyon Lake, down River Road
Afternoon & Evening Time
Gruene,, a really neat little town on the river that
explodes with tourism during the river rafting season.
Gruene Hall, one of the oldest dance halls in
thestate;
famous people like George Straight and many others have
played here state;
famous people like George Straight and many others have
played here
some walked around to the little stores while others
enjoyed live music at the dance hall
we had dinner at one of our favorite places in Gruene, the
Gristmill
You do get to wait a little for a table - but that is
typical at most good restaurants
we ended up with 4 tables to be able to seat everyone
Becky, you said, "act silly for the picture"
be
careful what you ask for
The end-of day three; everyone headed back to the Hotel
for a swim
