today was a leave at your own pace day. Some heading on
to additional vacation destinations and most of heading back
home to Texas |

sometimes you can find some neat things sitting around
in towns when you weren't even looking for them |

|
|
|
 |
These SURE AREN'T the beautiful
mountains we were in a few days ago |

came upon a deuce cruisin'
down the highway |
 |
|
|
stopped for gas and ran across this old theater in the
town - would have been neat to see inside |
 |

|

 |
looks like we are fixin' to get into some rain |

thunderstorm ahead
it had lots of lightning |

at each end of town with their lights flashing
never did figure out what was going on |

...back to windmill country again |

an illusion with these two - looked like you were
heading directly between them but the road curved over the
hill |

there are some neat courthouses on the
way back thru New Mexico and Texas |

575 miles from Raton, NM, to our TX doorstep
...made for a very LONG DAY |
