DAY 6 - Thursday 6/23
beautiful morning ...the trains were being loaded ...a quick driver's meeting and we departed Durango heading up the Million Dollar Highway
       
our first stop was Honeyville, a neat long-time honey producer.  They now even have alcoholic honey products
       
They have a working bee hive (behind glass) where you can watch the bees fly into thru a tube (from the outside) into the hive where they make honey
  Mary & Cydnie found the bear outside - think he likes honey?  
       
Heading on up the Million Dollar Highway
 
       
Purgatory Ski Resort
 
our next stop was Purgatory Ski Resort, where some enjoyed the Alpine Slide, Zip-Line and shopping
lots of beautiful flowers adorned the property
       
Several of us rode the Alpine Slide.  You rode the lift up to the mid-way point where the start was
     
as you rode the lift up, you could look down and watch others on the Alpine Slide
       
at the top, you put your sled down and climbed on - one lever (between your legs controls speed and brake

Robert & Cydnie waited at the bottom and took photos as people finished their rid they regrouped at the base of the slide
       
David riding the Zip-Line ...buckled up and off he goes - up and over the next building
